Local and International Competitions

1. Manolis Neophytou

He was chosen three times to represent Cyprus in the Eurovision contest for Young Musicians 1992, 1994 and 1996.

Also in 1994 he won fourth prize in Saint Igalia ITΑLY in the international piano competition and in 1995, first prize in Palermo Italy.

2. Andreas Ioannides

He was taught and prepared for the following competitions by Dr. Nefen Michaelides exclusively.

2/4/2001       6^th International Annual Piano Competition of the Evaggelia Tziari foundation in the category B (10 – 14 years old) in Larnaca, Cyprus.  He received the first prize.

24/11/2001    1^st EPTA Piano Competition – Cyprus 2001 in the category C (14 – 18 years old).  He received the first prize.

4/3/2002      Preliminary Eurovision Contest for Young musicians.  He was chosen to represent Cyprus in the Eurovision contest for Young musicians, which took part in Berlin.

8/4/2002     7^th International Annual Piano Competition for Evaggelia Tziari foundation in the category C (14 – 18 years old) in Larnaca, Cyprus.  He received the Grand Prix.

3. Andreas Tsiartas was taught and prepared for the following competitions by Dr. Nefen Michaelides exclusively.

24/11/2001   1^st EPTA Piano Competition – Cyprus 2001 in the category C (14 – 18 years old).  He received the second prize.

8/4/2002    7^th International Annual Piano Competition of the Evaggelia Tziari foundation in Larnaca in the category C (14 – 18 years old), in Larnaca Cyprus.  He received a special commendation.

4. Maria Dolores Christofi was taught and prepared for the following competition by Dr. Nefen Michaelides exclusively.

6/4/1998      3^rd Annual Piano Competition for the Evaggelia Tziari foundation in the category B      (10 – 14 years old) in Larnaca Cyprus. She received the second prize.
