ΔΙΕΘΝΗ ΣΕΜΙΝΑΡΙΑ MASTER CLASS ΓΙΑ ΠΙΑΝΟ, ΒΙΟΛΙ, ΤΡΑΓΟΥΔΙ, ΣΥΝΘΕΣΗ ΚΑΙ ΔΙΕΥΘΥΝΣΗ ΟΡΧΗΣΤΡΑΣ

ΔΙΕΘΝΗ ΣΕΜΙΝΑΡΙΑ ΜΑΣΤΕΡ ΚΛΑΣΣ

Πρώτη φορά στην ιστορία της πολιτιστικής ζωής της Κύπρου διεξάγονται διεθνή σεμινάρια Master Class. Τέτοια σεμινάρια γίνονται συνήθως μόνο σε πόλεις που ανήκουν στις πιο αναπτυγμένες χώρες του κόσμου, σε πόλεις που έχουν Πανεπιστήμια και ανώτερες μουσικές σχολές όπως τη Μόσχα, τη Βαϊμάρη, τη Βιέννη, το Παρίσι, το Λονδίνο, τη Ρώμη κ.α.

Η Κύπρος και ιδιαίτερα η πόλη της Λεμεσού έχει ανεβεί στο ύψος των πόλεων αυτών. Η Δρ Νέφεν Μιχαηλίδου έχει καλέσει για 7 συνεχή χρόνια από το 1982 – 1989 τον παγκόσμια γνωστό πιανίστα και παιδαγωγό Professor Rudolf Kehrer από το Κονσερβατόριο Tchaikovsky της Μόσχας να έρθει στην Κύπρο για να διευθύνει τα διεθνή σεμινάρια Master Class για πιάνο σ’ αυτή τη σχολή.

Πιανίστες από πολλές χώρες του κόσμου όπως την Αυστρία, Ιαπωνία, Γιουγκοσλαβία, Αμερική, Γερμανία, Ουγγαρία, Ελβετία, Κίνα, (Ταϊβάν), Κορέα, Αγγλία, Λουξεμβούργο, Καναδά, Πολωνία, Βουλγαρία, Ελλάδα έχουν έρθει στην Κύπρο για να λάβουν μέρος σ’ αυτά τα σεμινάρια τα οποία δεν έχουν εμπορικό χαρακτήρα. Η συμμετοχή των ξένων πιανίστων είναι δωρεάν. Η Δρ Νέφεν Μιχαηλίδου τους έχει απαλλάξει από τα δίδακτρα συμμετοχής στο σεμινάριο και τους πρόσφερε δωρεάν διαμονή στη Σχολή για να τους ενθαρρύνει να έρθουν στην Κύπρο. Έτσι, εκτός από το ότι, αυτά τα σεμινάρια συνέβαλαν σε μεγάλο βαθμό στη μουσική μόρφωση των μαθητών αυτής της Σχολής, πρόβαλλαν επίσης την Κύπρο διεθνώς.

Οι ξένοι μουσικοί έχουν διαπιστώσει ότι το επίπεδο των σεμιναρίων στην Κύπρο, σ’ αυτή τη Σχολή δεν υστερεί καθόλου από τα όμοια σεμινάρια στην Ευρώπη, πράγμα που τιμά την Κύπρο. Οι φιλοξενούμενοι μουσικοί είχαν επίσης την ευκαιρία να γνωρίσουν τα αξιοθέατα της Κύπρου.

Μετά από κάθε Σεμινάριο είχαν επιστρέψει στις χώρες τους με άριστες εντυπώσεις από την Κύπρο και έκαναν την καλύτερη προβολή για το νησί μας.

Μεγάλη τιμή για την Σχολή και τους ξένους μουσικούς ήταν το 1988 η παρουσία του Προέδρου της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας κ. Γεώργιου Βασιλείου στο πέμπτο διεθνές Σεμινάριο Master Class και το 1989 η παρουσία του πρώην Υπουργού Παιδείας κ. Ανδρέα Φιλίππου.

Στη διάρκεια των 30 χρόνων που υφίσταται η Σχολή έχουν πραγματοποιηθεί 16 διεθνής σεμινάρια Master Class για πιάνο, βιολί, τραγούδι, σύνθεση και διεύθυνση ορχήστρας.

INTERNATIONAL SEMINARS - MASTER CLASS

For the first time in the history of cultural life in Cyprus International Seminars - Master Class are held.  Such seminars are normally held in towns having a highly developed cultural life, in towns with universities and higher schools of music like Moscow, Weimar, Vienna, Paris, London, Rome etc. Cyprus, and Limassol in particular, have been raised to the level of those towns.  Dr Nefen Michaelides invited for 7 consecutive years from 1982 -1989 the well-known pianist and pedagogue Professor Rudolf Kehrer of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, to come to Cyprus and direct the International Seminars Master Class for piano at this school.

Pianists from many countries of the world, like Austria, Japan, Yugoslavia, America, Germany, Hungary, Switzerland, China (Taiwan), Korea, England, Luxembourg, Canada, Poland, Bulgaria and Greece took part in these seminars.  These seminars do not have a commercial character.  The participation of the foreign pianists is free of charge.  The director of the school did not ask for any participation fee from them for the seminar and offered them free accommodation at the school in order to encourage them to come to Cyprus.  In this way, besides the essential enrichment of the musical knowledge which these seminars offer to the pupils of the school, they also help making Cyprus internationally known.

The foreign musicians found that the level of these seminars held in Cyprus, at this school, lacks nothing in comparison with similar seminars held in Europe, a fact which honours Cyprus.  The invited musicians also had the opportunity of visiting interesting sites of Cyprus.

After every seminar they returned to their country with excellent impressions on Cyprus and made the best advertising of our island abroad.

A great honour for the school and the foreign musicians was the presence of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Georgios Vassiliou, at the school on the occasion of the 5^th International Seminar - Master class in 1988.  Also the former Minster of Education, Mr. Andreas Philippou, paid a visit to the school in 1989.

During the last 30 years of existence of this School 16 international seminars Master Class for piano, violin, singing, composition and orchestra conducting have taken place.
